Part 3: Building Energy Modeling in Detailed Design

Until recently, Building Energy Modeling (BEM) and simulation was only considered late in the design process. In this series of white papers, we present 6 of the 8 ASHRAE 209 BEM workflows, implemented using Simergy.

This paper presents the two workflows for Detailed Design. We demonstrate how to answer lated design questions about details in the building HVAC, Service Hot Water, Daylighting controls, and natural ventilation -- in order to create a more energy efficient design.
