Property Values Table

Allows the user to review, edit or create Simulation Parameter templates.  The Property Values table contains a set of properties that with the Value column present either a defined set of input value options to select from that are available within EnergyPlus or allow the user to select Library Entries included in the active Source Library that have been created by them or are included with Simergy.

 

The property categories and associated properties for the Simulation Parameters Property Values Table are:

The drop down list options in the Value column are either EnergyPlus options, such as the Outside Surface Convection Algorithm shown above, or they are Library Entries that are packaged with Simergy or that have been created by the user.

 

Property Table Value Sources

The table below maps the drop down list sources for each row of the Value column in the property table.  It addresses two questions; 1) Where does the list shown come from? 2) What does the user need to go to add to the list or edit library entries?  The hyperlinks in the Value Sources column go to the description of the library category.  

Tip: If a value source is not included it means the field is predefined selections determined by EnergyPlus, and cannot be edited by the user in Simergy.

Note:  The Simulation Parameters Property Values Table can also be accessed by selecting Edit Template.  A pop-up dialog box appears showing the interactive table where the user can make edits to, copy and save the Simulation Parameters Template without having to leave the current workspace.
