Example: Creating a Solar Surface Site Object

Workspace:  Site/Site Definition/Create-Edit Site Elements

This example goes through the steps to create a Solar Surface object

Creating Power Generation Site Objects: Photovoltaic Generator 

• In the Create/Edit Site Elements area select New.

• Select Solar Surface from the Object Type drop down list

• Select Solar PV Array from the Object Sub-Type drop down list

• Enter PV Array 1 in the Name field

• Additional settings will be available for Solar Surfaces, input these:

•  X Offset = 6
•  Y Offset = 5
•  Tilt = 20
•  Azimuth = 30
•  X Count = 5
•  Y Count = 4
•  Width = 5
•  Height = 4

• Origin Dimensions X = 25; Y = 25

• Select Save

Connecting the PV Array to the PV Generator

• Select the PV Generator object

• In the property grid, for the Surface Name property, select PV Array 1

• Click Save
