Example: Creating a Power Generation Site Object

This example goes through the steps to create a PV array Power Generation object and a Wind Turbine Power Generation Object

Creating Power Generation Site Objects: Photovoltaic Generator

We will create two power generation site objects. We'll start with the PV Array.

In the Create/Edit Site Elements area select New.
Select Power Generation from the Object Type drop down list
Select Generator: Photovoltaic from the Object Sub-Type drop down list
Select Generator: Photovoltaic Array #1 from the Library Entry drop down list
Enter PV Generator 1 in the Name field
Origin Dimensions X = 10; Y = 60
Select Save

Creating Power Generation Site Objects: Wind Turbine

In the Create/Edit Site Elements area select New.
Select Power Generation from the Object Type drop down list
Select Generator: Wind Turbine from the Object Sub-Type drop down list
Select Generator_Wind Turbine #1 from the Library Entry drop down list
Enter Wind Turbine 1 in the Name field
Origin Dimensions X = 10; Y = 30
Select Save

Note: The new Power Generation objects have been added to the Active Project Model Tree under Site Power Generation. When the user selects a Site Power Generation object (as shown in the image), then they can make changes and then select Save to incorporate them into the model.
