Example: Creating a Power Demand Site Object

Workspace: Site/Site Definition/Create-Edit Site Elements

This example goes through the steps to create a set of Exterior Lights on the south side of the building site.

Creating Power Demand Site Objects:

We will create four exterior light power demand site objects. The Plan and Origin dimensions for each of the four are included in the table below as well as the name.

In the Create/Edit Site Elements area select New.
Select Power Demand from the Object Type drop down list
Select Exterior:Lights from the Object Sub-Type drop down list
Select ExteriorLightFixture#1 from the Library Entry drop down list
Enter Ext Light # in the Name field (see table)
Keep Relative Elevation at the default height of 0

1	Ext Light1	X=10; Y=10
2	Ext Light2	X=60; Y=10
3	Ext Light3	X=110; Y=10
4	Ext Light4	X=160; Y=10

Select Save
Steps will need to be repeated three times to create all four (4) Power Demand objects

Note: The new Power Demand objects have been added to the Active Project Model Tree under Site Power Demand. When the user selects the Site Power Demand object (as shown in the image), then they can make changes to the Library Entry, Origin Dimensions, Name or other and then select Save to incorporate them into the model.
