The identification rules that are part of the Simergy Validation Framework:
Identify the direction of flow
Identify a supply fan
Identify a return fan
Identify an economizer
Identify a minimum outside air damper
Identify a recirculation damper
Identify an outside air damper
Identify an exhaust air damper
Identify a single duct single zone system
Identify a single duct multi zone system
Identify a dual duct single zone system (dual duct air terminals)
Identify a dual duct multi zone system (dual duct air terminals)
Identify a dual duct that works as two single ducts
Identify a dual duct that works as a dual duct and up to two single ducts
Identify a triple duct system (Triple duct air terminal that does not exist yet)
Identify a triple duct system that works as three single ducts
Identify a trip duct system that works as a dual duct and a single duct system
Identify a triple duct system that works as a combination of trip duct, dual duct and single duct
Identify boundary between Demand Supply Side and Zone Equipment (Single Duct Single Zone). Outlet node of first supply plenum upstream of the zone equipment OR inlet node of zone equipment terminal object
Identify boundary between Demand Supply Side and Zone Equipment (Single Duct Multi-Zone). Case 1 splitter only Outlet node of the splitter. Case 2 Only one supply plenum, outlet node of the supply plenum, Case 3 splitter and supply plenum upstream of the zone equipment, outlet node of the downstream object OF THE TWO is the boundary, Case 4 Phil's complicated case, the furthest downstream zone splitter or plenum
Identify Boundary between zone equipment and return side of the demand system (Single Duct single-zone). Case 1 if plenum present then inlet is boundary, if not then zone outlet is boundary.
Identify Boundary between zone equipment and return side of the demand system (Single Duct Multi-zone). Case 1 if return plenum present then inlet nodes are the boundary, Case 2 only mixer, then the inlet nodes of the mixer form the boundary. Case 3 Mixer and return inlet of the uppermost object of the two is the boundary
Identify the boundary between demand side and supply side (Single zone). Case 1 return plenum, outlet node of plenum is boundary. Case 2 no plenum, follow downstream of zone or zone group, the inlet node of the first boundary we hit is the boundary.
Identify the boundary between demand side and supply side (Multi- zone). Case 1 return plenum only, outlet node of plenum is boundary. Case 2 mixer only, mixer outlet node is the boundary. Case 3 miser and plenum present. Outlet of the most downstream object is the boundary.
Identify boundary between Supply OA and Supply side supply path. This is the invisible mixer outlet node
Identify boundary between Supply OA and Supply side return path. This is the invisible splitter inlet node
Identify primary and secondary loops
