Select Object, Type and Sub Type

The set of Object Class, Type and Sub-Type continues the output variable database filtering process to establish the output variables that the user includes in the output request set template.  There are two ways users can use this set of selections:

    1. To filter the output variables within a Library Entry that the user has selected in the Template Name drop down list.

    2. To filter the EnergyPlus output variable list to identify a specific output variable to incorporate into the Output Request Set Template.

 

A drop down list of Simergy objects are provided, which correspond to objects in the EnergyPlus IDF (Input Data File) format.  By selecting an object class the drop down list for the Type is established.  By selecting a type the drop down list for the Sub Type is established.

 

Once the user has made a sub type selection hitting Add to List will add that output variable to the Output Request Set table on the right.  The user can add numerous output variables to the Output Requests Set list, and each time an output variable is added a new row is added to the table.  These selections will only be saved to the Output Request Template if a name has been entered in Template Name and Save has been hit.

 

Output Requests Set table is where the output variables that the user has selected through the filtering process are displayed.  The table includes four columns.  The first three columns capture the Object Class, Type and Sub Type that the user has selected.  The fourth column allows the user to select or enter a value.

 

Delete From List allows users to delete an output variable row from the Output Requests Sets table.  The user must highlight a complete row within the Output Request Sets table prior to selecting Delete From List to successfully delete it.
