Example:  Creating Two Window Arrays Glazing

Workspace:  Buildings à Building/Floor/Zone Definition àCreate/Edit Bldg Stories

This example goes through the steps to create Two Window Arrays glazing.  It provides a way to change the glazing from the default strip window running the length of the orientation to a number of different configurations.  The Two Window Arrays feature adds a second array table to the workspace area that allows the user to incorporate a second plane of arrayed windows.

Open File:  3-story.simp

In the Buildings tab, in the Create/Edit Building Stories area, go to Glazing tab

Above the Array One dialog, in the pull down menu, select Two Window Arrays

In Array One dialog

·         Window Orientation: South

·         Win/Wall Ratio: 35%

Click Preview to see the change in the 3D view

·         Window Orientation: South

·         Win/Wall Ratio: 15%

·         Window Width: 5.00 ft
